{"id":1128,"date":"2020-02-12T08:31:10","date_gmt":"2020-02-12T16:31:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.iannelli.us\/?p=1128"},"modified":"2020-02-12T08:31:17","modified_gmt":"2020-02-12T16:31:17","slug":"porsche-356-book-translation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.iannelli.us\/?p=1128","title":{"rendered":"Porsche 356 book translation"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>One of the biggest projects I&#8217;ve tackled recently was translating Frank Jung&#8217;s <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.delius-klasing.de\/porsche-356-english-11456\">Porsche 356 \u2013 Made by Reutter<\/a><\/em> into US English from its native German on behalf of the publisher <a href=\"https:\/\/www.delius-klasing.de\">Delius Klasing Verlag<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The translation was completed sometime around the middle of last summer (2019), but it naturally took some time for the book to appear in print and then find its way into the warehouses of various distributors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you&#8217;re into Porsches\u2014or vintage cars in general, for that matter\u2014and don&#8217;t mind the rather remarkable <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Adolf_Rosenberger\">Adolf Rosenberger<\/a> getting short shrift yet again (ARD has a compelling video titled <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ardmediathek.de\/daserste\/player\/Y3JpZDovL2Rhc2Vyc3RlLmRlL3JlcG9ydGFnZSBfIGRva3VtZW50YXRpb24gaW0gZXJzdGVuL2E0NzJiYzhmLTg1NzYtNDM4Ny1hODg4LTdjMmY2NWU4ZjhlOA\/der-mann-hinter-porsche-adolf-rosenberger\">Der Mann hinter Porsche<\/a><\/em> that&#8217;s worth watching), the book should prove an interesting read.
